At Blyth Dental we use Nobel Biocare and Lifecore implants, the world leaders. All of our implants are placed by Mr Robert Banks a specialist oral surgeon and with over10 years experience in implantology.

Surgery is carried out at our 323 Cowpen Road practice with full surgery protocols and normally with midazolam sedation to provide you with the very highest standards in implant placement.

All of the prosthetic work, bridges and dentures is carried out by Dr Neil Watson who has over 17 years experience in prosthodontics.

Treatment Stages

1. After you have expressed an interest in implants you will be given an appointment with Dr Neil Watson for an initial consultation were we give you further reading literature and a guide to possible costs
2. Still interested? then a detailed planning appointment with our surgeon will be next
3. After this you will be sent or given a written treatment plan and costs estimate this will be fixed and any unplanned extras will be included in this cost. There are no hidden extras.
4. Impressions with Neil for study models, diagnostic wax up and surgical stint
5. implant placement with Robert
6. Regular review appointments with Neil and Robert
7. Exposure of implants generally 3-6 months after placement by Robert however same day teeth are available in certain cases
8. impressions 2 weeks later by Neil
9. fitting of final crown by Neil
10. follow up with Neil
11. maintenance with our hygienists
